Marivelle Courtyard is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Marivelle Courtyard (marivellecourtyard.shop).
How this started
One March we sowed a full tray of tomato and got four seedlings. The packet had no packing date, no germination figure and no lot number, so there was nothing to check and nobody to ask. It could have been the seed, the soil or the week.
That is a bad position for a grower to be in, and it is entirely avoidable. Every packet we list carries a packing date, a stated germination rate and a lot, so a failed tray at least leaves you with something to reason about.
A seed packet without a date on it is asking you to trust it about the one thing that matters most.

Printed on the pack, not only held in our system, so you can judge how fresh what you are sowing actually is.
Germination stated as tested
The figure on the page is the rate from the lot’s own test, with the test date. It is a laboratory figure, not a promise about your soil, and the page says so.
Season written for Indian conditions
Sowing months are given for Indian growing seasons rather than translated from a European packet, because a rabi sowing window is not a spring one.
What we will not do
We do not sell treated seed to home gardeners without saying so on the front of the listing, we do not describe an open-pollinated variety as a hybrid to make it sound better, and we do not stock anything we have not grown out ourselves at least once.
We also make no health or yield claims. A vegetable seed produces a vegetable if the season, the soil and the water suit it. Nothing on this site treats, cures or prevents anything, and no packet here guarantees a harvest.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Marivelle Courtyard trades entirely online and ships across India from Jaipur, Rajasthan, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
